MemberTried on two different WP sites. Getting this error. Possible solutions listed are 4+ years old.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/thirdbark/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/eStore_utility_functions.php on line 698
WP version 4.9.1
I’ve done a delete and fresh update but still get the error.
I was using the WP Simple Paypal shopping cart. I have deleted it and tried fresh install. Still getting error.
I have checked cpanel and both plugins are deleted before trying the fresh install.
I am using Anima Theme.

Moderator- How are you uploading the plugin to your server?
- What version of PHP is your server running?
- Do you still get the error, if you are using the default WordPress theme?

KeymasterYour server is using a very old version of PHP so you are seeing that error. (its like 5 years old).
WordPress now recommends using at least PHP v5.6. Our plugin works fine if you use PHP5.6 or higher. Basically, all our plugins work with the recent versions of PHP and WordPress.
You need to ask your hosting provider to upgrade your PHP to a more recent version then you won’t see the issue anymore.

KeymasterGo to your plugin’s menu in your admin dashboard. Delete the plugin named “WP eStore”. Go to the page again to make sure there is no other copy of that plugin on your site.
Then upload the new zip file of the plugin and activate it.
