Hello,
I have been faced with a wordpress error that won’t go away. Whenever I try to upgrade a plugin or a theme I get a error that says:
Could not create directory. /home/content/85/5783585/html/wp-content/upgrade/contact-form-7.tmp/contact-form-7
GoDaddy does not know what the problem is since all the permissions are set correctly for the upgrade folder in wp-content. One thing that keeps getting mentioned are plugins that may be causing a problem. I have already deleted many of my plugins and still have not found a fix. I have not deleted estore or emember yet since I have so many settings placed into them. Do you know if there’s been any change to the plugin that might have caused such a coding conflict in my wordpress account? I don’t know if this is possible of not buy wanted to check first.
Thank you.
To me this issue looks like directory permission related. I am not sure how this can be cause by another plugin but you can test it out easily. Deleting eStore or eMember temporarily won’t cause you to loose any settings. So just delete them and test your upgrade to see how that goes. After your test you can reinstalled eStore and eMember and all your settings will be in place.
