If you are trying to play your YouTube video in HD format and not having any luck with it please read this post which will explain how to ebmbed YouTube HD video on your WordPress site.
According to the YouTube Documentation, there is a parameter(hd) that can be used to play the video in High Definition:
However, this parameter is only available in the AS2 player (AS3, AS2 and HTML5 are the only supported players for YouTube API). Unfortunately YouTube has made the AS2 player deprecated. So if you modify your YouTube link by adding a “&hd” parameter, it’s not going to work with any of our lightbox shortcodes.
That being said, we have a YouTube shortcode (using the new HTML5 API) that can handle most YouTube parameters. It also has a HD video playback option. The only problem is that when you use this option, YouTube uses a different player to handle the HD playback. Some of the other parameters don’t work in this YouTube HTML5 player, which is why we don’t recommend you to use this option just yet. But if you are only looking for the HD playback you can choose to use this option in the shortcode.
Instructions for using the YouTube shortcode with HD support are available here:
