Not a tech but dangerous enough to be lethal to my Web site. I cannot get my protected s3 videos to play through WP Lightbox Ultimate on my site.
I have a colleague who has the exact same configuration (Woo theme, child theme (except color changes), etc.) All my settings for s3 and the lightbox plugin are the same. His works. Mine doesn’t.
I have it on a test page here. [http://whitedovestyle.com/test-lightbox/]
When my short code is this [wp_lightbox_protected_s3_video name=”wds_bsw/1010BSWIntro.mp4″ bucket=”wdsproducts” source=”/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/7-Ways-Update-Sidebar.jpg”]
I click on the image on my site and nada. Zip. Zilch.
I replaced the shortcode with one I copied from your documentation.
[wp_lightbox_protected_s3_video name=”wds_bsw/1010BSWIntro.mp4″ bucket=”wdsproducts”
width=”” height=”” source=”/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/7-Ways-Update-Sidebar.jpg”]
Then I get an error message saying I need to specify the bucket…except you can see clearly that I did.
I checked my permissions on my videos, verified the keys. My colleague inputed my s3 keys and appropriate information into his site and it worked. So we know the video, permissions, and the keys information are not the issue.
I thought it might be a plugin conflict so I deactivated all of them. Reactivated this plugin. Then refreshed everything. I still had the same problem.
I thought it might be the browser (Google Chrome) so I opened it in another (Firefox).
I again walked through the set up videos you provide and documentation. Everything is set correctly. My pathways are correct. What am I missing?
I am using the most recent version of Lightbox and I have WP 4.0.something
Hi, we will need to take a closer look at your site to see what is happening. I have sent an email to your registered email address for site access. Let me know if you don’t receive it.
Update
It turned out that the access key ID field had some unwanted hidden characters. Copying and pasting into a notepad removed the formatted characters.
