Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP Photo Seller › Photoseller – real_img_folder_id preventing gallery thumbnail appearing correct
photoseller seems to be creating random values in real_img_folder_id. When this value is removed or set to null the thumbnails appear fine. What is happening here please? Even when I ‘copy this gallery configuration’ for a gallery which the thumbnail works for it still adds a value to real_img_folder_id and thus the thumbnail doesn’t work out of the box. It only shows up properly once I delete real_img_folder_id value from the database. What is supposed to happen here please? I cannot hand control of the website back over to the owner if a gallery thumbnail does not appear correctly automatically..
You should not be tampering with the folder names or changing anything manually.
Everything should work automatically.
Please create a brand new test gallery with just a few images and send me the link to this so I can view it with my browser.
[http://www.littleladybirdsphotography.co.uk/photogallery/] Test has been uploaded completely as standard.
Test 2 was set up after I deleted the plugin and re-installed. Still the same results.
As far as I can see your only issue is the thumbnail not showing. I think it’s best if I take a closer look at your site. I will send you an email so I can get account details and log into your site tomorrow sometime. (Note: I’m based in Australia)
That is correct.
I’ve looked at your site and after some head scratching I found the issue.
Something on your system was setting the standard attachment thumb url to point to a thumb size of 150×113. It should be pointing to 150×150 sized thumbnail.
I have modified the code to force the photo seller so that it uses the 150×150 thumb on the gallery home page.
Hey peter can you help me with my code too? I think I have the same issue. The thumbnails show up as small tiny little grey squares and says that my photo cant be accessed.
Hi,
When I first visited your site the photos were not displaying but I can now see them fine.
I’m not sure whether you changed something on your site but can you please confirm you are also seeing the photos?
