Hi, thanks for developing this cool and useful plugin.

My focus is on setting up a site so that clients can access their photos privately as well as offering public images to everyone, so this might be more of a feature request than bug report.

Is there a way to restrict access so only a specific user/client can see their gallery?

    1. Any other options for restricting gallery access?

I have used password protection. Works fine as long as same password is not used on another gallery.

    2. Any way to easily link a client to their own private gallery?

I used the gallery slug (eg: ../photogallery/5) with a widget to create a menu/navigation link that goes straight to the client’s gallery. Makes it easy for client, but complex for my client who would need to manually configure galleries with userids.

    3. Is there a way of hiding private galleries from unauthorised viewers?

When viewing main photo gallery, even private gallery thumbnails/links are displayed. I may need to use an album of public galleries instead.

    4. Are there any plans to link userids and galleries?

It would be nice if there was a way to associate a gallery with specific users so they could bypass the password protection, and perhaps have a My Gallery page that would recognise the logged in user and which galleries they can view and display them, or redirect if not authorised to view a gallery.

I have been testing various plugins to somehow manage clients’ access by role or capability, but this still allows other clients with same role/capability to view other private galleries (when password protection is off) unless a new role/capability is created for each client. Doable, but tricky for my client who would have to do this manually.

I appreciate your time and look forward to your response.

We don’t have any feature for this.
