Gallery was working yesterday. Today there are no photos in the gallery and I have only small black boxes with X’s in them in the left upper corner. Gallery is now unusable. Appreciate your help sorting this out.

Did you change anything on your site since the time the gallery was working?

The big change was adding https to the site.

    Peter,

This is what I’ve done today:

I looked at the setup page and realized I had my set up wrong. Corrected that.

I reset the htaccess file which seemed to be missing

I deactivated the key, the plugin and then reinstalled from a new download.

Reset up the site and the gallery

    Reset the permalinks.

    Result:

Still no photos on the gallery page, the photo details page, the view page or the check out page.

Where do we go from here?

    Kirby

Otherwise the site works through to the checkout page

The big change was adding https to the site

This is the reason. The way to fix it is by doing the following:

    1) FTP to your host and traverse to the uploads/wp_photo_seller directory.

    2) Delete the .htaccess file in the above directory

    3) From your wordpress admin panel deactivate the photo seller plugin and then reactivate it again.

Doing the above steps, should re-create a new .htaccess file with the correct host.

    Peter,

OK. Did all that. Had to do it through the C panel file editor as couldn’t figure out how to do it through FTP. Deleted htaccess. Deactivated Wp Photo Seller and reactivated and had no photos. Deactivated, deleted files, reactivated and setup new gallery. Now back to square 1. htaccess appears to have been rewritten. Permalinks for gallery and photo appear correct.

    What do you recommend?

Have you deleted all caches from your caching plugin?

Also can you enable debug by going to the photo seller settings page and setting “enable logging”.

    Caches have been emptied.

Debug is and has been on.

Can you temporarily rename the .htaccess file which resides in the uploads/wp_photo_seller directory?

(For example, rename that file to temp.htaccess)

Let me know when you’ve done that so I can try a few tests.

There does not appear to be a htaccess file in the uploads/wp_photo_seller.

Apparently it was never recreated when I deactivated and then reactivated the plug-in.

Will try deactivating and reactivating again.

Have deactivated, deleted, activated again with no change.

Only htaccess is under public_html named old.htaccess. Renamed this to temp.htaccess. No change.

I’ll need to take a look at your site.

I’ve sent you an email to get login details.

Ok the problem should now be fixed. It was the .htaccess file in the uploads/wp_photo_seller directory – the rules weren’t quite right.
