Hi,
I’ve followed the instructions to set up MailChimp integration, but test purchase email addresses aren’t getting added to the new MailChimp list I’ve created.
I’m just wondering if I’m missing something somewhere: do I need an extra plugin to connect my site to MailChimp? I’m aware I haven’t input my MailChimp username/password anywhere within my WordPress site.
Or should I be using the list ID (letters and numbers), rather than my list name? Or is there something else I should be doing in MailChimp?
Many thanks,
Cornelia
July 12, 2014 at 3:12 am #64288adminKeymasterYou don’t need any extra plugin. Please go to the settings menu of the plugin and enable the debug option. Then do a test transaction and share the URL of your site so we can check the log file data and see what is going wrong with your MailChimp signup.

The debug option is enabled, and I’ve done another test transaction. URL is: [http://picturesbycornelia.com]

If there are, then the email will not get added to your list because mailchimp is expecting the custom field to have a value. Simply make any custom mandatory fields optional.

Email address: Always required, always visible
First name: Always required, always visible
Last name: Always required, always visible
SIGNUPDATE (a custom field): Not required, not visible

July 14, 2014 at 3:26 am #64294corners74MemberThank you very much for the update… unfortunately it’s still not working.
I’ve emailed you a reply with some screenshots from my MailChimp account, in case that helps.
July 15, 2014 at 2:15 am #64295corners74MemberMany thanks for your follow up email, and just to confirm that it’s now working properly.
In case it helps others, the advice you gave me below fixed the issue:
It is likely that you have specified some fields to be required in this list which is causing the issue.
Edit this MailChimp List and make sure you have NO REQUIRED fields. The plugin will automatically send the name and the email address to the list (don’t make anything required).
