Photo Seller – Digital Free Downloads

Hi.

I’m using this plugin to have free downloads. I’ve enabled the “Enable Instant Download” checkbox which works great. The only issue I have is there’s no place at all (at least from what I see) that I can download different cropped sizes of the digital print. Is there any option that allows me to have the image sizes displayed on the front end on the photo details page with the download link attached to that size so that the digital print version is available for a free download in that size?

There isn’t such a setting. The current functionality covers all bases in that the customer can always downsize a full-sized image.

If you want to only give your customers an image of a certain maximum size I recommend that you create a gallery where you upload the gallery images of that maximum size and that is what will be delivered via the free download feature to your customers.

How can I add immediate download on the thank you page? I don’t want to offer a 100% coupon or a direct download as I want to capture the contact details of the customer. I am using a free of charge pricelist so everything works except that the last step is an email sent to the customer. In addition to the email, I want the download link to immediately appear. Essentially all the data that is in the email to be immediately displayed.

For free download, that steps needs to be an email. The thank you page display is only for when a proper transaction has been done. The thank you page has validation mechanism that talks to paypal to verify payment before showing links. That won’t work for the free downloads.

Thanks, Admin – is this a feature that you are going to implement soon? It seems a wasted step to expect the customer to then open email to click on a link that could be served when the information has already been parsed for the email? would be great if you did!
