I am getting the following error when trying to do a Bulk Import, I assume there is an issue with the directory structure :
Error opening zip file: /homepages/xx/xxxxxxxxxx/htdocs/rlsphotogallery/wp-content/uploads/wp_photo_seller/bulk_import/BBDEC2014-1.ZIP
If I view the site via my FTP browser the path I see is :
/rlsphotogallery/wp-content/uploads/wp_photo_seller/bulk_import/BBDEC2014-1.ZIP
December 23, 2014 at 11:01 pm #67610PeterMemberHow did you create your zip file?
Does the zip file contain subfolders inside it? If so remove them.
All of your photos should be in the root of the zip file.
Also, just in case, try naming the zip file with lower case extension. (This shouldn’t really be necessary because I know that the upper case extension works due to the fact that I tested this on my server, but you never know.)
August 5, 2015 at 6:19 am #67611Norts777MemberI am having this issue too, uploaded into bulk import then I go into the bulk import in my gallery and get a error report.
I have tried renaming them without any luck.
August 5, 2015 at 11:39 pm #67612PeterMemberDoes the issue occur for every zip file you try or a specific one?
I have sent you an example zip file with 2 photos which I know works. Please try that and let me know if it works on your site.
August 6, 2015 at 10:51 am #67613Norts777MemberI had a subfile in my compressed file which was why it was giving me an error code.
i created a win-zip file with 5 photos in and uploaded that which works fine. no error code
i have now winzipped all the rest of my photos i want to upload and i have uploaded them into bulk import and now it says 0 photos inside rather than the error code.
August 7, 2015 at 12:08 am #67614PeterMember2 days ago I sent you an example zip file with 2 photos inside it. This was meant to illustrate to you what a correctly made zip file for bulk uploading should look like. Did you try it?
August 7, 2015 at 10:16 am #67615Norts777MemberI didn’t as I managed to get it to upload and work just before you posted your reply here the winzip file still had a subfile in it. when I now click on bulk import it says 400 photos would you like to import.
I click yes and it starts importing them however it got stuck at 33 last time and now stuck at photo 36 which it has been stuck at for an hour.
August 8, 2015 at 1:47 am #67616PeterMemberWhat type of server is you site hosted on – shared, VPS (or other)?
Please check your server logs for any errors and let us know what they are.

August 11, 2015 at 3:26 pm #67618Norts777MemberI have been trying to resolve this with the support of my hosting people and they have increased the max execution limits etc and my bulk unzipping keeps stopping midway.
he says its probably down to a php setting within the wordpress application that he cant change. is there a limit to the max size of the unzipping as I have quite a lot of photos within each folder.
August 11, 2015 at 3:41 pm #67619Norts777MemberShared Server and just enabled logging as read in one of your previous posts. will test again in an hour when settings updated..
August 12, 2015 at 12:45 am #67620PeterMemberCan you also try testing with a zip file which contains less photos than the one which is currently failing?
August 13, 2015 at 9:22 am #67621Norts777MemberYep i have done this, i have put them into a file of 15 photos and it unzipped and watermarked them all okay.
