I would like to attach a PDF to every file downloaded on my website for the photo release. I can’t figure out how to do this.
I would like to have a TIFF file on some of the downloads as an option (paying more), but I can’t figure out how to have the jpg as an option and then TIFF as another option.
I would also like to have printed and framed images as an option. Is there a way to have a picture of it framed, along with the jpeg image.
On the Photo page that shows the thumbnails for each gallery, is there a way to make them show the full image instead of making them square (cuts off a lot of images for me)?
Going off my need, did I buy the wrong plugin? I was about to buy the eStore and at the last minute I saw the photo seller version. I am not really seeing many of the options that I think I read about in the estore plugin.
My test so far: joemontiel.com/wp

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 12100 bytes)
To fix this you will need to increase the PHP configuration item called memory_limit to a value of at least 256M. (ask your host support people to help you if you don’t know how to change this)

We do have something which can achieve this.
– When you have created a gallery and uploaded the photos, go to the settings page for the gallery you want to apply this to and scroll down to the bottom where the table of photos are listed.
– Then click the “Edit” link for the photo in question.
– After you’re taken the photo edit page look for the section called”
“Image Attachment Settings (Click To Open/Close)”
– You can then configure the attachment you want to send based on the variation you created in your price list.
(repeat the above for any other photos in the gallery you want to send an attachment for)

The format of the photo which the customer can download will be the same as the format you uploaded when creating the gallery. So if you created a gallery and uploaded photos in tiff file format, then a tiff file will be delivered to your customers. There is no configurable option to offer different file types for the same photo, but you can always create separate galleries to achieve this.
I would also like to have printed and framed images as an option. Is there a way to have a picture of it framed, along with the jpeg image.
No there isn’t. As a workaround you could create your own page showing some photos of typical framing options and put that link in the details page somewhere.

This is occurring because our template for the gallery home page uses a square thumb but some of your photos are in portrait format.
In each gallery’s settings page there is a configuration item called “Gallery Thumb ID”. You could try changing the photo to another one that is less skewed in the portrait format to see if that improves things for you.
August 2, 2016 at 2:31 am #73850adminKeymasterIf you are selling photos and images then photo seller is going to be the better choice. It has features that are all specific to selling photos.
December 16, 2017 at 8:53 pm #73851terryMemberThis forum says if .tif files are uploaded then .tif files would be used for sale. The WordPress Uploader doesn’t support the .tif file type so how do I upload .tif . I want to offer my customers the .tif file type. I recently purchased WP Photo Seller
December 16, 2017 at 10:24 pm #73852adminKeymasterYou should be able to upload the photos using FTP to your site. Then tell the plugin to read those files.
The bulk upload feature will help with this. Please try the following and let us know if that helps:

December 19, 2017 at 6:39 pm #73853terryMemberIf I use the bulk uploader to FTP TIFF files to my site will WP Photo Seller be able to automatically resize the TIFF files to populate the galleries?
December 20, 2017 at 1:01 am #73854PeterMemberHi,
Regarding “tiff” file support – I just looked into the code more carefully and it is not supported by the photo seller. Therefore I recommend that you convert the files to jpg or png.
December 20, 2017 at 1:12 am #73855terryMemberThat brings me back to my original question a couple days ago. If I upload full file size in the .png file type by what process do I use to offer my customers a .tif file type?
December 20, 2017 at 1:38 am #73856PeterMemberBy default if you are selling a digital variation and you uploaded a png file to the gallery, then the download link sent will be for the png file type.
There is another way to offer an attachment in addition to the variation sold – via the edit image window – there is a section called “image attachment settings”. (you need to click on “edit” link for one of the listed photos in a gallery inside the gallery settings page )
But I don’t think that will be useful for you because if your scenario involves sending a tiff version for every individual png photo, you would need to edit every image and upload a tiff file for each and then set that file in those settings.
Also there would not be any resizing of the attachment file due to the fact that it is not supported by the wp media library. (ie, the tiff file you specify would be sent as-is)
If you want to discuss the possibility of some custom development to achieve what you want let me know and we can do it offline.
December 20, 2017 at 2:33 am #73857terryMemberI was afraid the .png to .tif would require an image by image edit, and that would be too time consuming. I’m not sure publishers want .png, and many personal use customers wouldn’t be able to use .png, and some publishers don’t want the lossy jpeg. The file types supported by Photo Seller are much too limited.

It’s more a case of what the wordpress core media functions support.
The photo seller uses a lot of the wordpress built-in media functionality and since this doesn’t really have support for tiff files then it follows that the photo seller doesn’t either.
