Hi,
I am wondering if it is possible to lengthen the time the cart holds a buyer’s selected photos in the cart? Essentially what I’m trying to do is allow the client to look and then come back later and finish shopping. My galleries are large as they are of games and have lots of kids in them.
If the cart time can’t save for longer, is there a way for them to favorite the photos they are interested in? For this to work I was thinking they would then need to be ‘members’ somehow so I’ve considered the member plugin sold by you guys as well but I can’t find where it says anything about working with the photoseller plugin.
Any ideas on how I can accommodate my clients requests for a way to save what they’ve already chosen?

Extending the timeout for PHP sessions may have security repercussions. Please consult with your hosting provider.

I read through that entire conversation–I will check into the php.
I’m still wondering a couple of things though:
– Is there a way for clients to ‘favorite’ or ‘add to wishlist’ the photos they think they want without using the cart so I don’t have to get into security issues?
– Will photoseller have a ‘save the cart’ option like the other plugin?
– Does photoseller work with the emember plugin that you guys sell?
Thanks!

Not currently but if such a request becomes popular we will seriously consider adding it.
Will photoseller have a ‘save the cart’ option like the other plugin?
I guess the answer to this one is also the same as above.
Does photoseller work with the emember plugin that you guys sell?
Depends on what you are trying to do. If you provide a specific scenario you want to achieve we can give you a more accurate answer.

Thank you for your answer. I did not reply sooner because I was searching for an answer myself before coming back with my scenario.
Essentially what I am trying to do is find a way for my customers to mark the photos they want.
I have large albums for my customers to go through. And I’ve created coupons for larger orders. Sitting and going through all the photos in one time is not realistic. Lots of times clients want to look, consider and come back, look some more, maybe even wait a while and show family members etc… before making a final decision. Currently there is no way for them to quickly return to just the photos they’ve already decided on or think they like the best. It is very easy to forget or get discouraged/tired of browsing for say the fourth time looking for that one photo.
I’ve been trying to address this from several different angles, open to which ever one would work. Whether it be from a cart that they add the photos to that is saved for long periods of time, to a favorite button placed under each photo that will add the photo to a list, or via a membership plugin with coding that will allow them to make an account and then keep a quick link to the photo they are interested.
I’ve been on many photographer’s sites and know that most have this function available to their clients. I’ve not been able to get any coding to work properly with this plugin from any of those angles though. So that’s where I was wondering if the emember plugin might bridge this gap for me? Or if at the very least this feature could be added to the request list?
Thanks!
