Permanently assigning commissions to affiliates from purchasers

My client is migrating to WordPress/Woocommerce and was using a different system to manage their affiliates. The installation of WP Affiliate is working very well for their new signups.

We’d like to manually set up preexisting affiliates with their referrals. I read a post that said you can award a commission to an affiliate through the Sales/Comm Data section. Will this assignment apply to all future purchases from the purchaser, or is this a one-time award?

Manual commission adjusting only applies to the commission you are adding. It won’t automatically apply future commissions. The plugin works in an automated fashion, so commissions are automatically applied when a user clicks on an affiliate link then later purchase a product.

You maybe talking about locking a customer to an affiliate. So future commissions from a customer is awarded to the original affiliate (regardless of what the customer does in the future in terms of clicking other affiliate links). You will need the following addon if you want that behavior.
