PDF Stamper – which files can it work with?

Hi,

I didn’t find this information in the documentation – is PDF Stamper only able to work with ready PDF files?

What if a site wants to sell certain images, but stamped (aside with some customer related text) – can PDF Stamper be asked to take an image file, create from it a PDF file with the image and the stamping text, and then deliver this PDF file?

I want to add to this by myself – just in case PDF Stamper doesn’t do it, it is possible to create PDF files with dompdf library on the fly, and then apply PDF Stamper to it.

Is the “image file” a “PDF file,” with an embedded image?

No, it is just an image file (jpg, png, etc.). Thank you!

Image files are not the same as PDF files; the internal formatting is different. Could you instead, stamp PDF files that contain embedded images?

My task at hand is for PHP code to take an image file and create from it a stamped PDF file. Since there’re lots of images and going through all of them manually, creating embedded pdf files, isn’t very good
