If a product consists of more than one file download (e.g. a zip file and two pdfs), do the pdf files get recognized and stamped?
Thanks,
Derek
If you use a bundled product, consisting of “sub-products,” the buyer will receive multiple links, and the ones requiring stamping will be stamped:
This is not really a bundled product (which means a list of product ids are specified) but rather a single product which happens to also have a list of downloads associated with it. Does the same behavior apply?
Just to clarify, the online help instructions say the following in relation to multiple files for digital downloads:
“If you are making a bundled product then enter the product IDs separated by comma (example: 3,8,18). If the product has multiple files then enter the file URLs separated by comma.”
This suggests that I don’t need to use a bundled product, right?
As you noted, there are 2 ways of specifying a bundled product; by listing Product ID or by listing file URL. Both methods are called “Bundled Products,” and both give the same result; except one uses Product ID numbers to indirectly refer to other products, and the other directly lists the files.
If you want the PDF Stamper to work with an item contained in a bundle, you must specify the bundled product items by Product ID. You aren’t going to be penalized for “wasting” Product ID numbers.
Thank you! That is very clear now.
