Hi, overall the product is working very well.

I have noticed that each time a customer clicks download a new stamped file is created. Is it bot possible to serve the first created instance for future downloads?

One other thing- is it not possible to have gray color font (68, 68, 68) ? I couldn’t get it to work and so had to use black which isn’t ideal.

    Thanks

I have noticed that each time a customer clicks download a new stamped file is created.

That is the normal behavior. The plugin does not track file contents, from one stamping request to another. For that reason, administrator tools are provided, to “clear out” previously stamped files.

is it not possible to have gray color font (68, 68, 68) ?

Try 44, 44, 44. The setting values are in base 10.

If I understand your reply correctly, wzp, I can replace an existing PDF file and the new file will be stamped and served to existing purchasers. Is this correct?

How are you using it? The answer is going to vary if you are talking about an e-commerce transaction VS a download button created using the following shortcode:

E-Commerce transaction. I’m using it in conjunction with WooCommerce to deliver a stamped PDF to buyers.

Thanks for the shortcode info. That looks interesting too.

@diarmani — Correct. Each purchase will create a new stamped file, that will be saved on your server.

Does that include existing purchasers downloading the PDF again?

    Example Scenario:

    1. A person purchases the PDF and downloads it.

2, I update the PDF with a new version.

    3. The person clicks the download link again in their purchase email

Are they served the existing stamped PDF from the time of their purchase, or are is the new, updated PDF stamped and delivered to them?

For woocommerce integration, it will stamp the PDF file at the time of the download.

So when you update the PDF file and they click on the download link, the customers will receive the NEW PDF file (with stamping on it).

Love the WP Users download feature. What would be ideal for me is to allow users to download files again in the future without re-stamping.

Looks like I can grab URLs from wpeo_pdf_stamped_files_tbl keyed on whatever variables I stamped the file with.

Does that sound right? Anything I should be concerned with?

    Thanks,

    Brant

The temporary stamped files may get deleted (based on how long we are talking about here). The plugin also has a built in function to clean up the old stamped files on a regular interval. So I am not sure if this is a good idea.

I see. Perhaps I am imagining an infrequent scenario anyway.

Thanks for the reply on a Sunday where you are (I think)!
