Here is the situation:
pdf file is purchased from my site
it is stamped correctly by PDF Stamper
user downloads stamped file and opens file (all works fine)
user tries to upload the stamped file to 3rd party site (like Vista Print)
user gets error on uploaded file
the same file uploads to 3rd party site (like vista print) absolutely fine before stamp
how do I figure out what is happening when the file is stamped to corrupt it on upload?
Using Version 4.6.1 of PDF Stamper, also this process worked successfully for months. The change is recent.
File is single page .pdf (and it is happening on multiple previously working files)
Any assistance is much appreciated!

November 26, 2018 at 4:08 am #78817wzpModeratorHave you personally experienced the upload error? And what is the specific error message? Also, is the size difference between the stamped and unstamped versions of the file?
November 26, 2018 at 4:05 pm #78818oilagogoMemberThank you for looking into this with me
Yes, I have experienced the error myself.
The file size is 391KB before and after stamping
The error message when I try to upload the stamped version is:
File Transfer Error
I am able to upload the unstamped version without issue.
I’m happy to send the file I am testing with (but it happens on multiple files, same scenario)
Thanks again for any assistance!

November 27, 2018 at 2:28 am #78819adminKeymasterIt is likely that 3rd party site doesn’t accept files that have been encrypted or stamped. Are you using the PDF file encryption feature for this plugin?
November 27, 2018 at 3:48 am #78820oilagogoMemberThank you for your response.
We have been using stamped files (without changing anything settings) successfully since March. This error just began last week, on files that were previously successful as well as brand new files.
I checked and we are *not* using the encryption feature of this plugin.
We *are* allowing customers to print the stamped pdf
Is it a possible change during a new release? When did the newest release come out? Are we able to revert to the previous release?
What else can I check?
November 29, 2018 at 12:00 am #78821adminKeymasterWe didn’t make any changes to the stamper plugin at all (nothing changed in that plugin for at least a few months). It is likely that the external site has made changes regarding what they accept.

The thing is, I installed the PDF Stamper in March, I didn’t update it until a week (or so) before the problem occurred.
So, was there a change between March and let’s say October?
I’m actually losing quite a bit of business, so I’d like to find a way to resolve this. Even if the third party site changed something, what would they have had to change?
A file that is unstamped uploads fine, the same file that IS stamped no longer uploads.
I kindly request more assistance with this.
December 2, 2018 at 11:14 pm #78823adminKeymasterWe don’t know anything about this 3rd party site where you are uploading the PDF file (nor do we advertise this as a feature). The first thing you need to do is ask that website why they are not accepting the stamped PDF file. They know about their system so they will be able to tell you why they are not accepting the other file. Which will give us some clue. Otherwise, we are in the dark as to what could be causing their site to not accept the file.
