If I make a Paypal purchase for an eMember level using an email address which is already a member for that level in eMember, then Paypal takes the money and all the emails are received except the registration link. No “You have already purchased that membership level” message is sent.
In a real sales environment this could conceivably lead to a buyer paying again for a level they already have access to but have forgotten about and then being left in the dark as to what has happened when no registration email arrives.
It would be better if before sending the buyer to Paypal, eStore could detect that the product/level has already been purchased and log the user in.
Normally people won’t buy the same membership access level that they already have bought. Are you seeing users doing this on your site? What kind of membership setup you have?
