Paypal split payments for eStore

Are you planning on implementing the ability to split payments between multiple Paypal accounts in the eStore plugin? If so, when do you think it will be available? If you are not going to do it in eStore, is it something you are going to implement in the affiliate plugin?

Curious if any movements on this, the ability to split a payment say among different paypal address’? So if you have someone getting a revenue share, their share goes directly to their paypal account.

We got about 5 requests in a year which is not really enough. Can you please explain to me your use case of the split payment so I better understand your requirement?

Per PayPal, regarding the propriety of split payments:

“What you cannot do is split a single payment between 2 bank accounts, 2 credit/debit card accounts or a bank account and a credit/debit card account. In addition, you cannot split a single payment between 2 PayPal accounts.”

I also recall, from having run a brick and mortar store, that Visa and MasterCard say it’s a violation of the service terms to allow customers to split payments between 2 cards; although splitting between cash & credit is acceptable.

PayPal split payment does have a lot of restrictions (from PayPal’s side). However, we have created a custom addon for it. Contact us if you are interested.
