The client wants to be able to easily accept credit cards through Paypal, but when checkout button is pressed, instead of just filling in credit card info, Paypal wants you to create an account. SIte: http://www.jamesowenmathews.com/his-music
How can I make it so the user doesn’t need to sign up for a Paypal account? Is this a Paypal issue or a Simple Shopping Cart config issue?

You need to have a PayPal business or Pro account to accept credit card payments (upgrading to pro or business accounts is free).
If you do have a pro or business account already then the following link will explain this in detail:

Please advise.

Guest Checkout Requirements
Before you can enable Guest Checkout in Checkout, you’ll need to meet the following requirements:
Have a confirmed email address.
Set PayPal Account Optional to On within your PayPal settings.October 15, 2024 at 11:03 am #85093Brian LParticipantYes, the email address is confirmed and the account is set to Account Optional to “On”.
October 15, 2024 at 11:07 am #85094Brian LParticipantCorrection… I did click confirm, but must have missed something. I just found where this setting is in PayPal and it is showing unconfirmed still. My sincere apologies. I did all the steps, but didn’t realize that my confirm didn’t finish. If you have anyone asking this question in the future you can send them to: https://www.paypal.com/businessmanage/profile/personalInformation/unifiedsettings/email?from=%2Fbusinessmanage%2Fprofile%2FloginSecurity and ask them “Does it say Primary, Unconfirmed under your email address”.
