PayPal not returning to site and emails not sent from eStore after payment made

I have two problems needing assistance:

1) My Paypal accountant is not returning to my wordpress ‘thank you page’, instead I get a blank page with this message at the top: Error! Message: Cannot open /var/chroot/home/content/52/9683052/html/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/nameoffile.pdf ! Error Code: 1

2) No emails are being sent from my wordpress eStore website after Paypal payment is confirmed as received

Which version of eStore are you using?

Can you please enable debug and try another test purchase and then share the output of the ipn_handle_debug.log file?

Hello,

Thanks for your assistance. I have resolved the problem by enabling the IPN feature in my PayPal account and reading your notes on the IPN return URL – just putting in my home page URL and leaving out the “http//” seem to fix my problem but am still working on setting things up.
