Hi,
After the customer clicks agree and pay for a subscription with a 14-day trial payment, Papal redirects to a page that says this:
Sorry — your last action could not be completed
If you were making a purchase or sending money, we recommend that you check both your PayPal account and your email for a transaction confirmation after 30 minutes.
If you came to this page from another website, please return to that site (don’t use your browser’s Back button) and restart your activity.
If you came from PayPal’s website, click the PayPal logo in the upper-left corner to return to our home page and restart your activity. You might have to log in again.
Are you aware of such a problem? Does this happen from a misconfiguration?
I have a redirect page for my button which is fine, and both I and the customer have a credit card and have completed recurring payments before. No, I am not using my own merchant account with paypal, but another one.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
bj
February 24, 2014 at 2:37 pm #61024wzpModeratorWhat exactly do you mean by “No, I am not using my own merchant account with paypal, but another one?”
That issue you explained is a PayPal issue. Please contact PayPal support and explain that you are getting the following.
After the payment on the PayPal page, I get the following error:
Sorry - your last action could not be completedFebruary 24, 2014 at 11:35 pm #61025adminKeymasterClear your browser cache and cookie. I have seen that PayPal issue happen to me once and it worked when I cleared my browser cache.
December 9, 2016 at 9:16 pm #61026slstayMemberI just had the same thing happen to one of my customers, so I subscribed using a personal PayPal account and ran into the same issue (exact same message as listed above.) Then, I retyped my URL in the address bar and subscribed again, but that time it worked.
Do you know why PayPal is being buggy that way?
December 9, 2016 at 10:35 pm #61027slstayMemberSo I have been working with a customer who would like to subscribe but can’t get past that error message. She has tried clearing her browser cache and cookies, as well as trying both Chrome and Safari–but nothing is working, so she can’t subscribe. Any other thoughts or fixes?
December 10, 2016 at 12:14 am #61028adminKeymasterThis is a rare issue that happens with the paypal account (the merchant account). The merchant account gets into a state where it keeps showing that error. So PayPal support will need to clear something in your merchant account.
The trick is to getting them to understand the issue (sometimes you will get one of their tech support personnel who doesn’t understand the issue).
Tell them the following when you contact them so they can really understand what needs to be done.
When my customers clicks on the "Pay Now" button on paypal's checkout page, they get the following error message:
Sorry - your last action could not be completed
It just started doing this recently (nothing on the website has changed). I think my paypal merchant account gotten stuck into a bad state. -
