I tested my account in a PayPal sandbox. Credit cards worked. Paypal worked.
Today I unchecked use sandbox. I changed the paypal email from the sandboxed version to the real version (or I think it’s the real version – possible conflict here). I changed the price of a membership to $0.01. I bought that membership, elected PayPal, used my personal PayPal account (not the same as the business account, different address, etc.) PayPal checked me out. I picked Return to Merchant. I checked my email and I received the PayPal receipt for the $0.01. I never received my registration email. No account was created (I looked in Members). Also, PayPal isn’t picking up my custom names for Title and Return buttons. The log files are on. I cleared them before trying this. They are BLANK except for the reset message.
Please advise!July 15, 2017 at 5:55 pm #76046
RE: My problem posted yesterday. I said there was a possible confusion on email addresses. I tried the only other possible email address with the same result. No Registration email. Nothing in any log file (they are checked to use log files). Did charge my PayPal account. Did receive PayPal confirmation of payment. PS: Shopping cart gets cleared after clicking Payment button.
I’m not using PDT Identity Token because a) it caused payments to fail in sandbox mode, b) I’m pretty sure I found documentation on your website saying not to use it.

Are you using eStore, or a direct PayPal button for payment? Please recheck your live settings, for appropriate Membership Payment Option:
I suspect the IPN was not configured correctly. Please enable and post any debug log messages:July 18, 2017 at 1:13 am #76048
You were correct. My PayPal account was not setup. Doing so made everything work.
FYI: The PayPal setup required is NOT in your instructional video. It’s not on PayPal either (or at least it’s very hard to find as I never did). The only place I saw clear instructions on how to do this was here: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/wp-estore-and-paypal-profile-settings. I found that by following a couple of chained links from your link above…which is a debug link. This should be added to the PayPal setup video or added somewhere on that page.
Thanks. Fabulous product. Just difficult to find answers to questions by searching the site and the forum, maybe because your product does so many things.
Thank You for the help.
