When my customers buy, the paypal receipt link returns a page not found.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

Please post the URL that you are using in the “Return URL” field in the settings menu.

    Hi,

The regular link generated in the email works OK, its just the link on the paypal receipt that does not find the above url

If you go to the link that you are specifying in the “Return URL” field you will see it’s giving a 404.

That means the URL you are specifying is wrong. How is paypal going to redirect to a page that you have specified incorrectly?

It does not return 404 for me, I see the correct page. This page is a wordpress page that is a draft. When I click on the link I see it.

Ah I see. you can see it cause you are logged into your wordpress when you check the page. Any draft page or post is not viewable by anyone else (try going to that page from another browser when you are not logged in).

You need to publish the page but if you don’t want it to appear in the menu bar you can simply hide the page using WordPress’s exclude page function or a similar plugin (there are many plugins that lets you exclude pages so it doesn’t appear in the menu)
