Hi again!
Just wondering – have you tested the plugin against Paypal’s Enhanced Checkout instead of the Classic Checkout?
I (randomly) have different browsers going to different types of checkouts (some people in Firefox will land up on the Enhanced Checkout, and some will land up on the Classic), however when I’m in the Enhanced Checkout, the cart doesn’t clear after the transaction is finished.
It works totally fine on the Classic Checkout though. Weird?
Yep, I tested it once. The issue is that the new checkout is kind of random (you can’t really force to get that checkout and test things).
The new checkout interface does not change the functionality so the cart clearing should work as usual but if it doesn’t then don’t worry I have another trick that I can use to get around it

Ooh, glad to know that it’s not just something wrong I did or one of those weird offhand bugs.
Did you manage to get around it, or we’ll just have to wait for Paypal to fix it?
(It’s really lucky I’m not selling a digital product. :p)
You get everything in the email so it’s not really a big issue (I am sure PayPal is going to address this so not having the option of displaying the link on a thank you page temporarily is not going to hurt).
