I asked a friend to buy one of my products so that we knew what it looked like, etc….
We got through to Paypal and her credit card was charged, but she then received an email from the website ( http://mp3travelclub.com ) that said
“Thanks for your purchase, Products will be delivered when the fund clears”
Looking at my Paypal account, it says the transaction is “Unclaimed” –
apparently this means (…. A payment may be “unclaimed” for several reasons:
1. The recipient has not signed up to PayPal and has not yet received your payment
2. The recipient has a PayPal Personal account (which cannot receive more than five debit or credit card-funded payments a year)
3. The recipient hasn’t accepted the payment
4. The recipient has chosen to individually accept or decline payments from customers who don’t have a confirmed postal address.)
1, 2 and 4 are not correct, which suggests 3 is the problem!
How do I make the system claim payment ?
Secondly pressing “return to mp3travelclub.com” takes me back to the welcome to mp3travelclub.com page and the shopping cart is now empty, My friend has no indication that the transaction has completed. The email arrived but did not give the customer any idea what to expect about the PayPal transaction clearing (if ever)
Two questions:
How do I set the return page as “Thank you for your purchase” rather than “welcome”?
Do I need to talk to PayPal about this (the unclaimed payment) or you ?
My friend has been unable to download of course. . If she wasn’t my friend I’d have lost the sale !
We then tried to buy an annual subscription and PayPal refused to allow my friend to use her credit card, because it was associated with a PayPal account. Is this normal ? Other seem to be having this problem with PayPal, although I don’t really understand the answers.

Next, you need to setup the plugin properly with all the options that you want. If you want to redirect the customer to a “Thank You” page after the payment then simply specify it the “Return URL” field of the settings menu. Every settings field in the settings menu has help text next to it explaining what it does. So all you have to do is scan through them and use the ones that you want.
This video tutorial also goes through some of the basic ones:
Let me know how you go.

I spoke to Paypal too – the issue appears to have been that my products are priced in USD and not my primary currency (GBP). This was very simple to sort out once I knew what to do.
