I have installed the Simple Shopping Cart in my WordPress site and am very happy with it – it’s just what we want. However, I am having difficulty in selecting the right paypal account to sign up to. We are looking at a business account, website payments standard. I am then looking at integrating the account with a shopping cart. However, the Simple cart is not listed in the options and I keep going round it circles and it’s driving me mad. I am sure this is very simple but I am hitting a brick wall with this.
Has anyone point me in the right direction? Sorry if this seems a basic question but the whole office has spent hours on this and we are getting delirious!!!
You can use the simple wordpress shopping cart with any type of PayPal account so this is not an issue really. As far as the integration goes… it’s really simple… all you have to do is enter your PayPal email address (you will get this after you setup the PayPal account) in the settings menu of the plugin.
I have posted a video tutorial on the following page that should give you a good idea of this (see the “Installation and Usage” section of that post)

Thanks for your reply. Sorry to ask such a simple question but we were having problems trying to sign up for a paypal account and going round the houses.
Cheers.
Creating a PayPal account is pretty easy. you just go to http://www.paypal.com then hit the “signup” button from the left hand side. It will give you the following 3 options:
1) Personal account
2) Premier account
3) Business account
Select the one you want then fill in the form.
Yes, thank you. We finally found the sign up button after hours of going round in circles.
