PAYPAL account connection: can a personal account be used?

I have just installed the WPS version 1.3.7. Working on a few other bugs/fine-tuning via another thread on this forum but since this question is completely different than the other issue, wanted to open a new thread.

The selling photos website I am working on is for a friend of mine. She has a “personal” paypal account that she uses regualarly for online shopping — just as a buyer. She has never verified the account as a “Seller Account” or connected it to her bank account. It is linked up to her credit card.

Does the PayPal cart system that plugs in with WPS need a “Seller Account” in order for it to function fully?

We’re not worried about the withdrawal of funds aspect because we think she will spend more than she makes

Personal accounts will work. However, “unverified” accounts may pose an issue, from the PayPal end of things. Verification is free, as is upgrading to a business account.

thank you. so far so good with the paypal checkout on a personal account. but I am having WPS bugs popping up all over the place.

LEARNING CURVE on this plugin that I thought would save a ton of time is a time consuming tweaking process

I don’t understand why you can’t edit price lists if you want to tweak some of the prices. ( i guess it is reporting based )

would be nice to copy one price list and make adjustments — save a TON OF TIME !
