Hi,
I tried entering someone else’s paypal address in the “Buy Now…settings” so they would earn the money from the sale of a particular set of products – but when I tested it out, it ended up going to MY paypal page.
Any ideas why this isn’t working?
Thanks
Bentley
You are most likely not using a “Buy Now” type button. This post will explain the difference:
Follow the documentation for the “Buy Now” type button from the documentation site. If you think you have done it correctly please post a link to the page in question and I will be able to tell for sure.
Ahhhh – looks like I was missing “_buy_now” from my short codes.
So this bypasses my shopping cart altogether?
Will the person receive my emails? Will it be registered in my shopping cart AT ALL or is this just a straight order from the other author via paypal?
Just to clarify – will the customer receive the email that gets sent out from my shopping cart automatically when a purchase is made, or will this be completely separate (and I won’t even know when these orders are placed)?
Thanks
B
Yes, the customer will get the email and the admin will be notified as usual.
