I get an email telling me payment verification has failed, even tho as a buyer I get an email from Paypal confirming my payment, and as a seller an email saying someone has ordered.
huh!?
web address: [http://www.boutique-cupcake.co.uk/shop/]
A copy of the email I get, which I have debugged and worked out it is the unilateral reason why its failing, which indicates the paypal email address is not working, which it obviously is!
Please fully read this email as it will explain everything you need to know to address any issue that maybe occuring (if there are any)!
The post payment verification for a payment failed. This could happen for one of the following reasons:
1. The fund for the payment have not cleared in PayPal yet (no need to do anything as the digital product will be delivered once the fund clears).
2. Someone maybe trying to scam a purchase! (no worries… WP eStore got your back
3. You have made a mistake somewhere (please see the failure reason section below to find out more details about this).
===== Failure reason =====
Here are some more details for the exact cause of this transaction failure…
Funds have not been cleared yet. Product(s) will be delivered when the funds clear!
===== How to solve the ‘Funds have not cleared’ or ‘Pending payment received’ notification =====

September 30, 2010 at 1:58 am #24898amin007ParticipantIf you read the full email which it tells you to do at the beginning you would know why it’s giving you a payment verification failed status
There is a section in the email that looks like the following which is telling you what the reason of the Failure is:
===== Failure reason =====
Here are some more details for the exact cause of this transaction failure...
Funds have not been cleared yet. Product(s) will be delivered when the funds clear! So basically the fund didn’t get cleared and the plugin never sends out the download links until the fund clears in the sellers account (just because someone made a payment doesn’t mean you have access to the money). The email also tells you what to check when you get “Funds not cleared” message to find out what you did wrong:

September 30, 2010 at 5:38 pm #24899chelseygMemberAnd if you read the full post you would see I have already figured out what the failure reason is, i.e. the reason ‘unilateral’ which according to your documentation means the email address for paypal doesn’t exist or isn’t setup. Its been over 48 hours and the buyer payment status is still ‘unclaimed’,the seller still does not have an order confirmation email (only the order email, yet under the account there are NO pending payments), nor do I as a buyer have the confirmation email. I assume thats not right!
It would be great if you try and help, without assuming I haven’t even bothered to work it out for myself and pasting what I have already seen in the email.
October 1, 2010 at 12:28 am #24900wzpModeratorI’m typing this on my cellphone, but according to https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=developer/e_howto_html_IPNandPDTVariables “unilateral” means the payment was “unclaimed” whatever that means…
October 1, 2010 at 1:23 am #24901amin007ParticipantPayPal requires you to verify the sellers email address (there are a lot of fraud sellers that open up PayPal accounts and scam people). “unilateral” states the following:
The payment is pending because it was made to an email address that is not yet registered or confirmed.
It’s not because the email is not working or doesn’t exist or isn’t setup. PayPal likes to verify the email address of the seller.
I can’t speak for PayPal but if you ask PayPal the following question I think they will be able to look at your account and tell you what’s missing:
“When I receive online payments it doesn’t clear immediately. What is the problem with my account?”
October 1, 2010 at 1:45 am #24902wzpModeratorPer PayPal, in reference to what Amin stated:
“unilateral: The payment is pending because it was made to an email address that is not yet registered or confirmed.”
October 1, 2010 at 8:28 am #24903chelseygMemberOk thanks guys, I’ll see what Paypal said and update this if I find a solution.
October 1, 2017 at 5:22 pm #24904kyomiMemberI have had the same problem.
I have now confirmed the email address for the new paypal account. But still am getting the error email..–
This is a notification email from the eStore plugin letting you know that a payment verification failed.
Please fully read this email as it will explain everything you need to know to address any issue(s) that maybe occuring (if there are any)!
The post payment verification for a payment notification failed.
The following section has more details on why this failure occurred.
===== Exact Reason for This Failure =====
The transaction failed for the following reason…
Invalid Product Currency Detected! The payment was made in currency: USD
My customer got an email. I received a paypal email to say the transaction had gone through. I have both Usd and Gbp as currencies in my wallet and plus i do not get the customers details in my wp store customer manager.
October 2, 2017 at 12:05 am #24905adminKeymasterThe plugin is complaining about the payment currency. Usually that happens if you specified to receive payment in one currency in the settings but then the payment came in a different currency.
So your setup is wrong somewhere with the currency settings.
You mentioned that you used both USD and GBP as currencies. What currency value did you set in the plugin settings? Are you using the product specific buy now configuration to specify a currency?
Are you using the following multi-currency addon?
