I’ve been looking at the payment plans more with regard to how they can be handled using the WP estore plugin. Our idea is to charge our clients half or a third of their total using 2 possible payment plans. 2 payments and 3 payments. It looks like this plugin will allow 2 or more fixed payment amounts — not based on the total price of a sale, but based on a pre-determined amount. Can this plugin handle a variable payment amount for subscriptions based on the customer total? One scenario we want 1/2 the total twice and the other we want 1/3 of the total 3 times.
Thanks
The problem with subscriptions in general; is the buyer is able to cancel them, at will. Subscriptions are best suited for products that grant access to information, that can be “turned off” if the buyer cancels the subscription. I think what you are trying to do is an “installment plan” type of payment, that can’t be cancelled by the buyer:
Please note, this only works on a per-product basis; you can’t do this on a cart full of items. Also, the payments can only be fixed amounts.
Hey there. Thanks for the response. We are in fact wanting to both have a variable payment amount and a payment plan based on the cart total. Does that option exist anywhere?
Thank you
