First a big Thank you for “Tips & Tricks” team for helping us properly setup the Payment Getaway Bundle Plugin (PG). I appreciate your professionalism and the timely manner to solve issues.
We use this plugin with Authorize.net ARB subscriptions.
I learned some helpful information and I’ll post it here for others who need this.
– Authorize.net has a limit of 50 characters for Subscription product name
(so you have to take this in consideration, especially if you use more variations and/or collect customer info field, as these are added to the product name)
– when using PG together with eStore, it will go to the eStore thank you page after a processed transaction (not to the PG thank you page)
– it’s a good advice to use the debug feature in PG to see what’s happening with the transaction
1) One question about processing transaction results
For the ARB subscriptions I noticed that even after a failed transaction the customer is redirected to the thank you page. I expected the customer to be redirected to the checkout page if any error, so they can correct it. (similar with Authorize.net AIM)
For example, if the credit card expires before the subscription ends, the transaction fails, but the customer is sent to the thank you page.
Do I have to process the transaction results somewhere (perhaps on the Thank you page?)
What do you suggest?
2) Maybe you can make it so if you fill out a PG thank you page URL, then it should pick up this one? I’m asking this because I use both AIM and ARB and I have different messages to show on the thank you page. How do I differentiate the two types of transactions on the same thank you page?
Thank you again!
Lucian

Edit the product in question then go to the “Buy Now or Subscription Type Button Specific Settings” section and specify the URL in the “Return URL” field.
We are still working on the payment gateway bundle plugin so my above suggestion may not work. Please try it and if doesn’t work let me know and I will look into it.

I setup my PG thank you page in the “Buy Now or Subscription Type Button Specific Settings” -> “Return URL” and after the transaction it went to the specified URL.
P.S. Where can I send a donation for your excellent customer support?
