    Dear Support,

In Mexico and Brazil, PayPal does not yet support neither:

Braintree, PayPal Payment Pro, nor PayPal Payment Advanced.

Would you consider adding “PayPal Plus” to the Payment Gateway Bundle that I bought?

    https://developer.paypal.com/docs/integration/paypal-plus/mexico-brazil/paypal-plus-integration-guide-mexico-brazil/

PayPal told me that I could switch to woocommerce, but I like eShop and I would rather keep using it.

    Looking Forward to your feedback.

    Best Regards,

    Philippe

The developers will need to officially weigh in on this request, but my understanding is that “PayPal Plus” is essentially an iFrame based payment solution, hosted on PayPal’s servers, for use in high risk markets; in lieu of PayPal Payments Pro.

    Hello wzp,

Nothing in the documentation of PayPal, nor during the conversations I had with the PayPal staff, is leading me to believe the need of an iframe to implement “PayPal Plus”… + … High risk market!?… You mean to tell me that there is a lower risk Market!? I find this very hard to believe and I do not even want to imply that this is the reason for its existence.

PayPal Plus provides a flexible credit-card processing solution for merchants that do not require buyers to have a PayPal account and does not direct them away from the merchant website to collect and process payment information.

Is Germany a high or low risk market.. I wonder.

    Looking forward to your feedback..

    Best Regards,

    Philippe

Nothing in the documentation of PayPal, nor during the conversations I had with the PayPal staff, is leading me to believe the need of an iframe to implement “PayPal Plus”…

Reading the developer instructions for implementing PayPal Plus, specifies that an iframe must be embedded on the site.

    https://developer.paypal.com/docs/integration/paypal-plus/mexico-brazil/integrate-a-payment-selection-page

As for “risk,” one can only speculate as to why PayPal Plus is only used in 3 countries; and requires an iframe.

As I earlier stated; the decision to implement your request is not my bailiwick.

Thank you wzp for your feedback.

I do not see the need to speculate however… I find it irrelevant and of bad test… I’m sorry.

    My last question:

When do you think we can get an answer as far as the developers weighting on our request, please?

    Best Regards,

    Philippe

We haven’t had that many request for this. I will take a look at it. In the meantime, I would like to suggest the Stripe option to you as an alternative.

The gateway bundle has the Stripe checkout option and that is really one of the best options for on-site credit card checkout.

I think this option is cost effective too. Have you already looked at that?

    Thank you for your answer..

Since it is relatively new, I imagine you have not received much demand for it… But it seems to be propagating… You’re the decision maker.

I have already mentioned other gateways to my client.. But you know, they’re busy and they do not want to learn new ways, and/or teach everyone there new methods.. They have been using PayPal for so long now… Always the same, anything new is scary to them and time consuming :/

They’ve been waiting quite a while already… Please take your time as to decide whether you wish to tackle this, but please understand that they have their mind set on not asking their clients to open a PayPal account in order to pay for their services anymore…

I spoke to her (my client) just this morning and she gave me until next Wednesday to let her know.. So next Wed. would be the 18th., do you think you can give me an idea by then?

I truly appreciate your time and work and I’m almost certain that they would consider compensating you for the effort.

    I will ask her today..

    Please let me know :)

    Best Regards,

    Philippe
