Hi. im using wordpress 3.4.2 and Emember 8.7.5 and eStore 6.9.7.8 I tried to update both plugins but was told by Ivy the latest versions will not work with 3.4.2.
1) Will my exiting plugins work all the way to wp 4.0?
Or, do I need to stop somewhwere short of this, upgrade the plugins and continue then upgrading wordpress?
Thanks

I must gently point out that this is a non-answer. I understand that EVERY wordpress plugin recommends the latest wordpress. If you made my only plugin and theme that would work!
Unfortunately in the real world I live in, not all of my themes and plugins are rated for 4_9_x so I have to stop short. So far I have everything working at wordpress 4.0.
I have been over the change logs in your plugins and cannot find this basic information
Where can I find out the minimum version or wordpress required for
WP ecart 4_4_8
WPemember version 10
wp payment gateway
I also looked on the WordPress plug in directory but could not find this.
I need to get the payment gateway working so this information would help me get our site more current and get a new payment processor I NEED online this week. If you can provide this information it would help me get this done. Thanks

September 28, 2018 at 4:25 am #78589adminKeymasterokay so we always support the latest 3 versions of WordPress. So as of right now, if you are using an WordPress version older than v4.7, then you can’t use our plugins unfortunately. It may still work with an older version but we just can’t guarantee.
WordPress 4.0 is actually too old. Too many security fixes have been applied since then. You are basically leaving your site vulnerable by not upgrading. I totally understand what you are saying with some plugin and theme providers not updating. You really shouldn’t be using them. You should look to replacing those items. You can hire a developer who can consult you on this and help you replace the existing old/outdated plugins and themes with better alternatives.
Find developers who are always updating their plugins and themes to work with the latest version of WordPress. Otherwise your problem will never be solved. I find that all the top WordPress plugin providers are generally very good at updating their plugins.
