Hi ,
While creating a test member account today, the first password I tried wasn’t being accepted by the system. It was an 8 character word with only letters and no capitals. An error message popped up and read “something is wrong” (or something similar) when I would hit register. When I tried a 4 letter word the registration occurred on the first try. Any suggestions about this? I wasn’t sure if there’s a default maximum length that a password can have?
Also, is it possible to tailor that error message to say something more specific like “please try a different password” instead of a general error message?
Thank you.
There is no restrictions on what the password can be. The member is allowed to choose any password that they like. If it is a proper error that the customer can fix then the error message will be more specific. I have a feeling some setup is not correct so it is getting to a state where it shouldn’t go. Can you please try what you did before and copy and paste the exact error that you get so I can look in the code?
