Tagged: integration, Paid Memberships Pro, WP Affiliate
I’ve recently bought WP Affiliate to be used together with Paid Memberships Pro.
I’ve tested Paid Memberships Pro by itself, and it is working fine.
After installing “PMPro WP Affiliate Platform Integration” as per your instruction, I ran a live test.
Let’s say my subscription product has the following characteristic:
$0.00 for the first month. $25 per month thereafter.
After the test purchase, I verified that WP Affiliate Platform tracked the click. However, since the initial purchase price is $0, there are no recorded sales (obviously).
1. How do I know if WP Affiliate Platform is properly integrated with Paid Memberships Pro to accept recurring payments thru Paypal?
I’ve installed the “PMPro WP Affiliate Platform Integration” plugin. But apart from that, your instruction says nothing more in regards to Paid Memberships Pro settings.
2. Will WP Affiliate Platform track the following months’ subscription payment as sales? Is there a way to verify apart from waiting for the next months to roll around?
Thanks!
David
Hi David, yes it will award the recurring commission to the referring affiliate when the subscription is charged next month.
Is there a way to tell? If not, here’s another suggestion for future update:
Add a way for both Admin and affiliates to know that recurring payment has been properly registered. This assures both sides that they will automatically get their sales properly credited to them.
Something like this will do:
“This is a subscription sales. An initial payment of $0.00 has been credited to your sales. And for every month thereafter, $25 will be credited to you.”
… or something more detailed (e.g. working out the commisions based on percentage for the next months).
Thanks.
David
You can go to the email settings and enabled the “Send Commission Notification” option. That will send the affiliate and the admin a notification when the commission is awarded. It won’t send that notification for $0 transaction though.
