MemberGood Morning,
I have today re-activated my opt in box for a free ebook. On testng this I received an email with the download link.
However, the page was blank and right down in the corner I noticed the pdf icon which I clicked on and the ebook opened….but how do I fix the blank page please.
Using mailchimp
cheers

ParticipantI think you are using Google Chrome. Chrome will automatically download the file and just show you in it’s recent download list area (lower part of the window). You can change this by modifying Chrome’s settings to prompt for a download so you can pick a location to save the file. Again this is a browser preference that you set in the browser.

MemberHi folks
Scrap all that I have posted. I have had to download chrome again…deleting it totally stuffed up all my incoming links.
so it is back so HOW do I make the changes in the browser that I need to make it work properly please.
At least this time it fixed the problem that when you clicked ok that the link was coming it sort of freezed the webpage and parts of it were missing….so that is good news it is all okay on that bit….just the page that opens with the ebook needs fixing
Cheers

ParticipantAs explained earlier… by default chrome doesn’t prompt for download. It just downloads. So simply search for the following in Google:
"How can I make Chrome prompt me for downloading a file"There will be some articles that explains how to do that.
