I am using the oxygenapp theme with the WP eMember Captcha plugin activated and can not go in to the page or template creation settings. I get a php error. I contacted the Oxygenapp theme support department and they told me about the above plugin. Here is their answer:
The incompatibility is with the WP eMember Captcha plugin.
You can either de-activate that plugin, or send us FTP access to your site so we can login and debug the problem and see if we can fix it on our end, or if the WP eMember Captcha plugin is somehow violating WordPress development standards and causing the problem.
I have sent them ftp access and they will check the problem. Have you heard of this before with other themes.
November 7, 2016 at 11:21 pm #74545adminKeymasterI haven’t heard anything like this before.
November 8, 2016 at 12:31 pm #74546wondervegasParticipantAs of right now I deactivate it when working on the theme then reactivate when finished.
November 8, 2016 at 2:34 pm #74547wzpModeratorI get a php error.
What is the **exact** error, you receive?
November 9, 2016 at 9:45 pm #74548wondervegasParticipantIt’s okay the oxygenapp theme developers left me this message:
Hey John,
We were able to come up with a fix in Oxygen. We’ve uploaded that to your site now, and it will be included with the next version of Oxygen.
It must’ve been something on their theme.
Just for curiosity sake this was the message:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare ct_wp_link_dialog() (previously declared in /home/johnnyc/public_html/wp-content/themes/oxygen/component-framework/component-init.php:323) in /home/johnnyc/public_html/wp-content/themes/oxygen/component-framework/component-init.php on line 322
It’s a new theme so I’m guessing the error was on their end. It’s an awesome theme tool though.
November 9, 2016 at 10:06 pm #74549wzpModeratorThe error message says quite explicitly, that a PHP function named: ct_wp_link_dialog()
- That was previously defined in line 323 of the file:
themes/oxygen/component-framework/component-init.php
- Was being redefined by line 322 in the file:
themes/oxygen/component-framework/component-init.php
None of our plugins or addons has anything to do with this error. Yet the Oxygen developer had previously wrote to you…
…the WP eMember Captcha plugin is somehow violating WordPress development standards and causing the problem.
As Gary Coleman would have said to the Oxygen developer…
“Whatcha talkin bout Willis?“
- That was previously defined in line 323 of the file:
