Optional mailchimp signup?

I know how to automatically sign my customers up on to a Mailchimp list, but is there any way to make that optional for them? Like, add a checkbox to the shopping cart they can click if they want to be added?

Hi,

No there isn’t a checkbox you can add to the shopping cart.

However the system already has this functionality built in because by default, mailchimp sends an opt-in email to your potential subscribers whereby they can elect to subscribe or not.

To make sure this occurs you will need to ensure that your “Disable Double Opt-In” flag is disabled (ie, NOT checked) in the Settings->Autoresponder Settings page
