I only have one page that I want unprotected, but whenever I logout from Admin, I can not access the page. I have disabled the remember password link, and I am using another link to direct to a form submit instead. That is the page/form in question. It only says “You must be logged in to view this content.”
I have scoured and rechecked from wp-emember-content-protection-not-working-common-mistakes. It seems like I have all settings correct, but nothing that I do will unprotect that page. It is a page, not a post and it is not associated with any categories. I also have it unprotected at the page level, “No, Do not protect this content.”
Is there anything else that I can check that I have overlooked?
July 12, 2013 at 11:58 pm #56544adminKeymasterCan you please post a link to this page that is being protected when it shouldn’t?
Are you using emember’s partial/section protection shortcode on this page?
Content protection not working issue checklist reference (this one is always good to check for issues like this):
July 13, 2013 at 1:59 pm #56545BjeddMemberOf course, now that I have posted… I think it is working now. It must have been cache, but I really cleared everything.. If is still happening, I will send login details as the site is secure. Thanks.
August 8, 2013 at 5:40 pm #56546BjeddMemberOK, the issue is back again. And under General Protection as well as all member levels, that page is not protected. Here is the page that should be unprotected: [http://booksarefun.com/repportal/contact/]
Have I done something by tweaking the login or the settings? I also have that page set as the Membership Payment/Join Page (Mandatory): because we don’t want anyone to be able to register…only a contact form. Please advise.
Thanks.
August 9, 2013 at 5:03 pm #56547BjeddMemberI am not having any luck with getting the pages unprotected. I am not using partial protection, only the member level page protection. I have tried creating 2 new pages and I get the same response, You must be logged in to view this content”. The pages are not set in General Protection, they are Granted Access to all member levels, they are set to “No, Do not protect this content.” at each page level. I have tried setting this as the Password reset page as well, but nothing seems to help. I have cleared caches, restarted, etc.
August 10, 2013 at 12:30 am #56548adminKeymasterDid you check the global access to settings of the membership level? Do you have the global access boxes checked for the membership level in question?
I sent you an email to get access to your site so I can check your setup and see what could be going wrong.
Update: Turned out to be an issue with the Gravity forms plugin’s form data being corrupted. Deleting the forms table and re-installing Gravity forms fixed it.
