Tagged: licensing, multiple accounts, one license
Hi,
I currently selling educational materials, mostly ebooks or membership access. However, I am trying to sell licenses so that if a school purchases one, they can have access to an X number of accounts. For instance, they buy a license for 100 students, so there should be 100 emails associated to that membership. Is that something I could do automatically with WPeMember?
So that the school signs up then an X number of users can create their own accounts automatically? Or is that something I would have to enter manually?
Thanks,
Julio
As far as I know you can’t by default create multiple accounts for a single membership purchase.
Maybe you can try the following:
Set up a special free membership level.
Then send the buyer of the license the link to the page containing the registration form for the special free membership which the public won’t know about because you are not advertising the link to it anywhere on your site.
Here is the documentation that explains how to create a registration page for a particular membership level for backdoor access:
Then each of the students can go to this page to register with their own details.
You can then allow this special free membership level to also have access to the protected material as per the paid level.
Thanks so much for your reply Peter. Question, do you know if there is a way to limit the number of “free” registrations, so that if I did what you suggested, when we reach an X number of sign ups, it would automatically restrict adding more users?
Thanks,
Julio
Hi Julio, eMember doesn’t have an option like that unfortunately.
