I get an error after trying to purchase my product which is a subscription from using emember and estore.
When using the paypal sandbox I’m able to buy the subscription but then it says at the return to merchant page “The link you have used to enter the PayPal system is invalid. Please review the link and try again.”
I’m just wondering what to do in this situation. Thanks
Addison.
July 2, 2010 at 9:21 am #22156IvyMemberHi, This usually happens when the PayPal email address is not correct or there is a “$” in the price of the subscription (you do not need to add the $ to the price). Please check that you changed your PayPal email address from the Sandbox email to your actual PayPal email.
Please make sure to check this post:
July 2, 2010 at 10:09 am #22157adeesMemberHello, I did not add a ‘$’ sign to the price. Also, I looked at the the ‘setting’ menu in the WP estore plugin and did not see a place to add my sandbox email. I only see a check box to say that I want it in sandbox mode. It says from one of your pages the following:
How to Test Using PayPal Sandbox
You can also use the plugin in SandBox mode (PayPal Sandbox) which will allow you to test it without having to perform a live transaction. To test it using PayPal Sandbox do the following:
Go to the settings menu of the WP eStore plugin.
Enter your sandbox seller’s email in the ‘Paypal Email Address’ field.
Tick the ‘Enable Sandbox Testing’ checkbox.
July 2, 2010 at 12:54 pm #22158IvyMemberHi, In the eStore setting menu there is a “Payment Gateway” tab at the top please go here and verify that the correct PayPal email address is entered here. If your sandbox email or incorrect address is entered here and you try a real transaction you will get the error above.
July 3, 2010 at 7:46 am #22159adeesMemberI put the correct address in the “payment gateway” tab but am still getting the error. Is it possible that because it is on my testing server this is causing the problem or is there anything else I might be missing?
July 3, 2010 at 11:59 am #22160adeesMemberI just tried it again on my actual server on a website I won’t be using but I’m still getting the same error message. I wonder what the problem is. So frustrating..haha.
July 4, 2010 at 1:44 am #22161IvyMemberHi, We will need to take a closer look at your site. I will send you a site access email. Please let me know if you do not receive this email.
Update: Some subscription product details were incorrectly specified which was causing this issue. We have corrected your subscription product details and now it is working fine. It is good to check our PayPal subscription creation documentation for this:
