When one user tries to update his account information on save he gets the “This email ID is unavailable!” message. His is the only account that does it, all the others updates just fine as far as I can tell.
I did a search and found one thread but it didn’t contain a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
This means he is trying to re-use an email which already exists in the DB for another member ID.
Go to the Members menu and from the “Manage Members” tab do a search for the email address he is trying to change to. If a result appears note the member ID of this entry.
Also, go to the WP users menu of your site to make sure that email address is not taken by a WP user account.
Then check the member ID of the account he is trying to modify with that address. I think you will find they are different.
