Hi,
The registration email is not being sent out after the payment for my memberships. I am using the eStore with subscription buttons because the Paypal button I tried first didn’t work also. I’m able to pay and received the PP emails for my transaction but no email from the site to the customer. I did get the email to the seller sent by WordPress mail that I enabled on the store settings. Other than that I have created and added to settings the Registration and Login pages etc. Read all the related posts and instructions, watched the videos. Enabled degug and saw the files but all seem to be fine. The ones from the store said the membership is handled by the eMember files, didn’t get to far with that either.
Please help! I don’t know what else to do. Thanks!
November 17, 2011 at 10:13 am #38626PeterMemberHave you entered the correct ID of your membership level in your product’s configuration in eStore?
That is, in your eStore product configuration there is a field called “Reference Text” which can be found in the “Additional Product Details” section. In this field you must enter the ID value of your membership level – this will be an integer value which you can get by clicking the “Membership Level” link in the eMember control panel which will list your membership levels.
November 17, 2011 at 9:31 pm #38627adminKeymasterPlease share the content of the “ipn_handle_debug.log” file from your debug run. This post will help you setup debug option if you don’t know how to:

November 17, 2011 at 10:11 pm #38628rescuebizMemberYes the ID value of the membership level is in placce. For my debug tet run log, I’ll do it again but do I need to pay in Paypal again? I don’t have a sandbox account, what is teh easiestway to test witout paying?
November 17, 2011 at 10:38 pm #38629PeterMemberThe most ideal test would be to actually make a payment so that the whole call scenario is triggered.
Why don’t you temporarily set the price to something very low – such as $0.01?
February 13, 2012 at 7:09 am #38630willtroMemberDo you have a service to set the e-mail registration up? No matter what I try the registration e-mail does not get sent out.
February 14, 2012 at 12:06 am #38631adminKeymasterThere is a setup step missing somewhere which we will be able to identify once you give us more info. First of all, what are you using to create the payment button? Plain PayPal button, Clickbank, eStore?
March 19, 2012 at 10:49 am #38632Conrad FarlowMemberI am having the same problem. I am using eStore to generate the membership payment button.
What a new registrant receives is this:
Quote:Dear Conrad Farlow
Thank you for your purchase!
Membership x 1 – £0.02 (GBP)
Any item(s) to be shipped will be processed as soon as possible, any digital item(s) can be downloaded using the encrypted links below.
Membership – This product does not have any downloadable content
Thanks
In addition I am receiving the following email
Quote:Hi, Your account has been upgraded successfully.
Please log into your member profile to view the details.
Thank You
Membership has an ID of 1 and this integer value is set in the reference test. I have tried using my pay pal account as well as a card payment.
Help!
March 19, 2012 at 11:18 am #38633PeterMemberHi,
As per the request by Admin, please turn debug on for eStore and eMember and share the content of the “ipn_handle_debug.log” and “eMember_debug.log files” from your debug run.
This post will help you setup debug option if you don’t know how to:

March 19, 2012 at 1:32 pm #38634Conrad FarlowMemberI am not sure why but it appears to be working now? The only thing that I can think of is that the email address used for the paypal account login that I was using was already in the membership list.
Would that prevent registration from working? Or is that a red herring?
March 19, 2012 at 11:19 pm #38635adminKeymasterIf you use an email address that already has a member account then it will simply upgrade that account rather than creating a new account.
March 20, 2012 at 12:52 am #38636Conrad FarlowMemberIndeed it does. It had my stymied for a while. It’s tricky to test as I only have the one pay pal account. I have signed up for a pay pal sandbox so hopefully that will help once I’ve figured it out.
