Just as the post title says…
I’m working on a client site, using eStore for physical and download products. I’ve read through a bunch of posts here about the issue being a setting in Sandbox, but the client does not have a Sandbox account.
I think it’s probably on PayPal’s side, but I have no idea what to look for. Is it that the client just setup their PayPal business account?
Thanks,
Michael

If you don’t know how to disable it on your PayPal profile then contact PayPal and they should be able to guide you for sure. Simply tell them that every time you receive a payment it’s coming up as pending and PayPal should be able to figure it out.
April 25, 2010 at 2:51 pm #20066mmucklowMemberHi Amin,
I contacted PayPal and they replied that there isn’t a Review Payments option for an account. There’s a Payment Review but it’s on the merchant’s side.
The customer is getting the Pending Payment Received email, and so far the payment never clears and the product never gets sent.
So now what?
This site has to go live tomorrow but I will have to drop the eStore plugin if I can’t get it to work. That’s too bad.

Yes the IPN needs to be turned on. You can turn this on in your Paypal settings. It will ask for a URL you can make this anything you would like as the eStore will override this and tell Paypal where to send the IPN.
Did you run a test transaction with the debug on? This should tell you why the IPN is faling. You can read more about this here: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/how-and-when-to-enable-debug-and-what-does-it-do
There’s a Payment Review but it’s on the merchant’s side. This is an option in the sellers Paypal profile if this is turned on it means you have to approve the payment.
Also please check that you have the correct Paypal email address in the setting menu of the eStore under payment gateway.
This sounds like a settings issue you can also verify what the Paypal settings should be here: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/wp-estore-and-paypal-profile-settings

April 27, 2010 at 5:32 pm #20069mmucklowMemberHi Ivy,
I learned that my client didn’t attach a bank account to his PayPal account. DOH! This was causing the problem because the status was Unverified.
Thank you for the help!

It’s best to contact PayPal as they will know what is causing the pending payment in your case.
