Since upgrading to the most recent version of e-store I am having the following problem. Customers are not receiving the automatic email with download links to the purchased digital content. I’m not receiving notification emails generate by e-store, like I used to do – although I do still receive the one from Paypal.
I haven’t been tweaking anything or changed my blog code, so I’m thinking it must be something to do with the upgrade? I’ve used e-store for a while so I think I have it set up correctly. Any pointers would be good – maybe I missed or didn’t check something? Maybe there’s a known problem with the newest version of the software? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Louise

I set the checkout process to run in sandbox mode and changed my paypal email address to the sandbox one etc. I was taken to paypal, entered the details etc. I still got no emails, plus the log files are all empty even though I enabled that option. not really sure what’s going on here as I *did* have a fully working version of the software not too long ago.
October 25, 2011 at 7:56 pm #37917Adori GraphicsMemberOk, I still couldn’t get the email thing to work, but after creating a page where the links automatically display (see here for instructions http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wp-estore-instant-digital-product-delivery-499) it now works. Not really sure why that would be, but I recommend trying it as it was really easy to set up. The video tutorial on that page was really easy to follow (even if it does refer to the old Paypal style website it’s still understandable).

October 26, 2011 at 6:20 pm #37919gilliatMemberI am running my wp-eStore in sandbox mode and that works well however when I’m acting as a buy purchasing a product for digital download, I receive the “Notification of payment received” e-mail but I’m not receiving a download link.
Btw… I can send an email with the working product download link from the Admin Functions without any problems
I’m using wp_eStore Version v6.0.5
Here’s my eStore digital page I created…

Because I have the WP Super Cache plugin active I have modified the wp-cache-phase1.php as instructed.
I think I’ve done everything possible to fix the problem and now I need you help.
Thank you, John Gilliat
October 26, 2011 at 6:53 pm #37920gilliatMemberWow, things are even a little stranger now. I turned off my Sandbox Testing function and bought my digital product for 0.01 and the payment went to my Sandbox Sellers account!
How weird is that? (my buyer’s email reads “Thank You for your purchase. Product(s) will be delivered when the payment is cleared.” and still no download link)
Yikes, I think I really need help. Lol
Thanks, John
October 27, 2011 at 2:17 am #37921adminKeymasterThis post will help with the PayPal sandbox not working:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/paypal-sandbox-changes
Remember to also change your “PayPal Email Address” to the real one from the “Payment Gateway Settings” when you switch from sandbox.
October 27, 2011 at 2:54 am #37922gilliatMemberHi Ivy
I deleted the original plugins and reinstalled the new updated ones and I still do not get my download link.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
John
