Hi, I was doing a test run & tried to register under my husband’s name & email. This way I received the ‘please confirm’ email & followed the link, but I was taken back to the registration page. I have added a url to a different page in the emembers settings. Also, I was not sent a confirmation/welcome email after that.
When I looked closer at the registration form I noticed that there is no field to add a password. I believe that that should be an option – I just have name, email & recaptcha.
I’ve checked the pages & urls etc & they all seem to be fine so I can’t figure out why a new member cannot add their password or if a default password should have been sent, why that hasn’t arrived either.

Any ideas what my be the problem?
Thanks
You have enabled the “Free Members Must Confirm Email Address” option in eMember settings which is why you are only seeing the email verification step first.
See how the following message is displayed there? Do as it says and you will see how it works after you verify your email address:
Fill in the following details to verify your email address. You will be able to register for an account after the verification.
Also, please read the full documentation on the “Free Members Must Confirm Email Address” feature here:
