Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP eMember › No Exit Button on the Reset Password popup
Hey guys –
I’m seeing that when the user requests their password, the pop-up prompting them for their email works just fine and gives them an exit strategy if they suddenly remember it. But once they’re requested the reset, the pop-up has no ‘x’ or exit button. How can we fix that? From the perspective of the user, it feels like I’m stranded with this thing in the middle of the screen with no way out. I don’t want to assume a general user/shopper will know how to handle this.
I’m using Version v8.1.0
Thx!
The popup should have an “X”. Can you please send a link to your login page so we can take a look?
you bet – it’s http://www.bluedotrobot.com/partners/join-us/
(the trouble comes after you submit the reset request – if you need a valid email to see the results use mische_eddins (at) hotmail.com)
Last night I was viewing it via Chrome and Firefox there was no ‘x’. Today I’m viewing it via Safari and still no ‘x’. I haven’t checked it in other browsers.
Thx.
I will investigate this. In the meantime please do the following:
Go to WP eMember Settings -> Pages/Forms Settings -> Password Reset Page
then read the help text of this field and do what it says. Let me know how you go after that.
We have fixed this in the plugin so the forgot password popup will automatically disappear after a few seconds.
