I’ve had test users download a product after a test purchase, and the included encrypted link was there and worked fine in the email after a purchase. But using the Admin function and sending a test encrypted email, the message goes through but there is no encrypted link. I did manually check the encrypted link being generated, and the link will work if they get it, but it does not appear in the email message sent by the Admin function.

I’m testing with a PDF file of less that 15mb, and I also set the download method option to ‘2’ since I read that might help. I also have set the ‘shorten URL’ variable to ‘true’, and to be safe I’ve tested this with it set to true and false, but that isn’t the problem.

Any ideas what might be keeping the encrypted link from being included in emails generated from within the Admin function?

You must copy the generated link and paste it into the body of the email message. The Admin Functions (plural) screen have multiple, separate sections. Link generation and email are not integrated.

Good grief…it sounds so obvious now that you say it. Thanks, it obviously works perfectly, though for whatever reason it simply didn’t occur to me at first.(May I nicely suggest a little bit of colored text right under where the link is generated with something like “Don’t forget to paste the link into the email below)

    Thank you Obi-wan-kenobi.

I will add some colored text to make it more obvious.

Hello, I created a store gallery with photos (digital products) and I followed the tutorial:

    http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wordpress-estore-and-nextgen-gallery-integration-to-create-digital-photo-store-method-1-1232

It looks good in the page but when somebody buy an item the email received from my web site comes without the encrypted link.

I’d like to mention that I have previously make it work perfectly with 2nd integration but i have not security since anyone can copy the image.

    Thank you

    Antonio

Hi Antonio, Have you configured the “Digital Product URL” field for the product in question? For integration method 1, you need to configure each eStore product with the downloadable image URL. Have you done that?
