Automatic new post notifications to members

We re currently using eMember for keeping track of our membership roster and a separate plugins Subscribe2 to send out new post alerts to those who want to receive them. I recently installed the eMember Extended which has highly selective e-mail blast capability. I wonder if:

1. eMember Extended can be used to send new post alerts, triggered by the posting on WordPress

2. There is a plugin for this purpose that interfaces with eMember seamlessly.

It will be a great feature to add to the core eMember, at least for organizations like my camera club, psri.us.

Its better to use a newsletter plugin for that as they can add all the bells and whistles required for notification related functionality. There are a few newsletter plugins out there. The Wysija Newsletter plugin could be one to try:
